Omega General Help / Couple of questions
« on: 19 August 2007, 14:43:43 »
I've been thinking of getting a 2.5TD omega, there just a couple of things I'd like to know.

Do all 2.5 TD omega's have the BMW engine (If not what other engine do they have)?

What's the MPG of the 2.5 TD omega and the 2ltr 16v omega so I can compare them?

I've got a couple of problems with my omega

Firstly, Its started cutting out when I pull up to a junction or at traffic lights etc, but it starts straight away after

Second, The power steering is really heavy when I dont give the car some revs, is this normal or is something wrong

Its a 98 r-reg Omega GLS

Yep, it is missing an air con pipe!  :o

Does it have a compressor and a condensor (smaller rad in paralell to main rad)?

I've just had a look and I can't see a compressor or condensor

Well my suspicion is the engine has been changed at some point then.
Does it have an aircon button on the heater controls?

No m8 it doesn't have any air-con buttons

Omega General Help / Am I missing something

Just noticed these in the engine bay of my omega. They look like there should be a hose or something connected to them. I've seen other pic's of Omega 2ltr engine bays and they seem to have a hose there.
What am I missing?

Omega General Help / Heavy steering
« on: 08 June 2007, 19:00:59 »
The Steering keeps going heavy. It doesn't really happen at a certain time, just every now and then. When it does go heavy it as if the engine is off but it isn't, and its mainly at slower speeds.

Thanks in advance
