Had exact same problem the other week, kicked hell out of the door without any luck. Removed all the linkages and disconnected the solenoid and removed the plastic protector. I just tumbled around with everything on the lock and it just popped open. Removing the 2 bolts and taking out handle might give you a bit more access. Had to get new lock mechanism, but someone on here will sort you out. Also new drivers door card Albitz you got any left.

Managed to get replacement door lock mechanism. Looking for advice on fitting one of the connections. There a 4 with 3 being connected with rods which are straight forward. Need advice on the one for the handle appears to be a bit of plastic at the bottom does it just sit in the hole,  dont see anything to secure it. there was nothing securing the one I removed. Cheers in advance.

The plastic just sits in the hole ...... and it's easy to fit the handle & miss the hole with the plastic bit.  They stay in place with respect to each other when the handle is fitted. 

Thought that but wasnt sure if there was maybe some cir clip or something that had maybe fallen of the one I removed. Thanks for that, now I can put it on without it wont pop out.

I had a work mate in my miggy a few year ago and she said. That cars saying hallo. i said what, and she said look its saying HI. It was the heater settings. That is true. Evan a couldnt make that up.

Can be that the hard-metal "wire" (i don't know what it is his name) jumped out from the locking mechanism ? On my door it was very easy to put away the safety plastic and to remove the "wire".

The 4 connections. key.Lock.push button and opening from inside were all attached. Think it had something to to with spindle wasnt turning.
