So called professional driver should know better
« on: 05 June 2013, 22:30:32 »

I set up my approach for the middle lane.
But I get squeezed into the wrong lane whether I like it or not :o

might has right ...... typical of many HGV drivers IMHO

I'll let anyone of them out of a junction, or allow them through a gap if it makes life easier all of us on the road, buta lot of them bully their way out - as the video shows.

You might have expected that that was about to happen as at the start of the clip as the trailer is straddling both lanes :-\ that silver Audi was a bit all over the place as well.

I thought the Audi annoyed the lorry driver tbh. Probably should have given the Hgv room as you say.

I think the only problem was the HGV should have indicated earlier, he was prevented from moving into the lane he wanted to be in till the last minute, had he indicated earlier you would have been aware..... :y :y

Nor were you. Had you been planning a bit further ahead, you would have held back and been ready for it :y

Nothing to say that Mr Waitrose didn't miss a gear, leaving the blue truck to choices:

1. Ploughing into the back of him.
2. Swerving around him.

Moral of the story, plan ahead and allow plenty of space :y

Typical LGV driver. He hasn't realised yet that they do have brakes ::)

That is the position he got himself in, pulling along side only to have to change lanes only served to compound the situation :-\

The blue truck certainly wasn't hanging about, another reason to keep a bit away from it. Had he been travelling a bit quicker, that might have been a squished Omega and OP :-\

On a cheerier note, I had someone nearly drive into the side of me in the Blackwall tunnel this morning  :-\ Vectra C vs 26t rigid... I wonder who would come off worse ::)

quite simple albeit the wrong way to do it,
blue truck was empty and he wanted to pass because the waitrose truck was fully loaded and would be slow,he probably didnt know this until he was behind it at the roundabout,
but he should have been in the correct lane first! :y
