I got my car about 3 weeks ago and the heater wont blow hot, I looked under the bonnet and noticed the pipes going into the heater matrix and the pipes coming out of the heater matrix had been cut and joined together bypassing the heater. I spoke to the previous owner and he said steam was coming out when he was coming home one day and he called the AA and they fixed it. I assumed that they did a "get you home job" because the heater radiator was leaking, and as the price for getting it repaired I have been told is £500 I cant even consider getting it fixed. But............ Reading on here I now wonder if it might be the HBV  How can I tell Does anyone know a local repair garage that will be honest with me and if it is the HBV how much to get it repaired and anyone know anyone who knows anyone?? Any help would be great I love the car but hate being cold !!

I have just bought a 3ltr Elite '97 Well impressed with it .except no heating comes out no matter what heating settings I try... I looked under the bonnet and found the pipes going to the heater matrix have been cut and joined together with a bit of hose and two jubilee clips bypassing the heating radiator ... there has probably been a leak from the heater in the past... cant deal with this myself can anyone recommend a place that can fix this problem some where near to the Derby area please ??

Hi Everyone
I'm new to all this so excuse me if I get it wrong, here goes
These are some photos of my Miggy I call her Myagemo (omega backwards)
I only got her a couple of weeks ago and I am well impressed with her she needs a bit of work on slight rust on the rear wheel arches, and the previous owner bypassed the heater matrix because it leaked, but other than that everything works and it drives like a dream, I hope to join in with a meet this Sunday, at the donnington services J23a. Hope my new toy doesnt show the other beauties up.

great forum
Myagemo.

why should we pay for"freephone" calls even if you have got a contract phone with included minutes the cost is added on top and not taken out of these minutes, this also includes 0845 "low cost" calls....... is this just another way to con mobile phone users more and more numbers are "freephone" 0800 numbers
