The central locking started playing up by not opening the drivers door ,this was overcome by using key but now after a couple of weeks its started working properly opening all doors. Is this the motor in the drivers door or something more central ? Cant believe its going to keep working :any advice please

Possibly lack of lubrication around all the levers & rods of the door lock mechanism, using the key has helped free it up. Try removing the door car & liberally spray all moving bit with chain lub. :y :y

Try the lube, as Andy B says, but in my experience, the next bit of cold weather, it will happen again. Solution is to change the motor.

Slightly off topic...appologies..
But refering to lube...what was that stuff you sprayed on my rear window, Jamie....its worked perfect since :y
If you remember, it kept bouncing back down when it got three quarters of the way up.

I'd probably use a oil based lube on the mech. Your window would have had a 'dry' lube
