abs pipes
« on: 12 April 2021, 09:18:21 »

Lost the sheet of paper with the order for ABS pipes, I know the large fitting on unit goes to small fitting on m/cyl but not the rest. 5 port ? ABS unit 96 P reg. There is letters in the casting on pump if that helps.

Yes exactly, car in Philadelphia USA, so LHD.
R=Rechts=Right=Offside and L=Links=Left=Nearside.
So HR=Hinten Rechts=Rear Offside. And VR=Vor(derseite)=Front Offside. And so on.

If your ports are not labelled but the pattern is the same as the ebay photo then I would imagine it's the same pattern. Unless somebody can confirm otherwise?

Offside/Nearside whilst ok for UK use, muddies the water somewhat for elsewhere.

V(orne) L(inks) = Front Left
V(orne) R(echts) = Front Right
H(inter) L(inks) = Rear Left
H(inter) R(echts) = Rear Right

Any other letters will give reference to those pipes, but would expect channel 1 and channel 2 from the master for the dual circuit system. Should also be a pressure switch on the valve block (unless it's internal on these).

Some pictures might help.
Is the donor a P reg V6?  In which case should be a 3 channel ABS.

I would expect that there is one port feeding both rear brakes. I expect 'H' in your case. Trouble is what does the lower case 'h' port feed?

The front brakes should be VL and VR, but yours aren't.

Some pics might be useful?
