Title: A big thank you to the Varches
Post by: Kevin Wood on 17 September 2013, 14:08:11
Emma and I would like to say a big thank you to Varche (Bryan) and Sue for their hospitality during our recent MX5 tour of Spain. :y

It was great to meet you and share your beautiful abode, with its' fantastic views, for a couple of days.

We've all followed Varche's trials and tribulations of Omega ownership "out in the sticks" for many years. Only by visiting did I understand it all, TBH. I think Sue put it in words best "It's just the price we pay for living in paradise". She wasn't joking.

Of course, like many of us, they do have to put up with living close to the main road through their neighbourhood!

Oh, and Emma says farewell to her new friend too.

What a terrible place to have to live  ::) ..... and as you say, on such a busy main road position!

Neither would I. With my "green fingers of doom" The place would be laid bare, and I'd be bankrupt, within a month. ;D

The first picture reminds me of certain parts of Wakefield.

To give up my hobbies, interests, access to facilities and comforts for sun is not for me (as I hate hot weather anyway  ;D )

That's my cover blown with the witness protection programme then -  been offered goat farmer in Greece now!

Small price to pay for living in paradise?  I'll remember that when we are down to minus ten in the winter....... with no central heating!

Kevin, thanks for your kind comments. We really enjoyed meeting you both. Made a lovely change for us to have someone new here. Always an open door for you Omega guys especially during the olive harvest or at milking time (or now if you can tile)

PS puss sends her love to Emma xx
