can usually keep it at 18mpg in town by coasting the autos alot more ime.

It can be an interesting challenge to drive as much as possible with no feet on the pedals for as long as possible. Entry speed into roundabouts etc needs precise judgement from way back up the road. I mean there's bog all else to do stuck behind a blue rinse on a midweek lunchtime. ;D

Jedi powers are handy too.   ;D

Anyone having trouble with battery life on the 5?

By that I mean huge battery drain while browsing. Even after turning other features off. 6 hours of web use. I don't remember that on the 4.  :-\
I wasn't going to say anything encase I was the only one but yes :-\
With all the features on, its quite horrific just on stand by, and gets extremely hot with maps and safari etc open. Its like its doing everything at once.

Battery doctor helps, but only up to a point. Ime.

6.1(?) was the start of it iirc.

Don't forget Chris they're starting to build the first of 2 thousand houses 1/2 mile from me,butting up to the A329M...and as the corrupt Reading council have said they are going to be 'affordable' oink! oink! NOT!! ::)
Yes I've seen the adverts and stuff in the agents windows. Utter rubbish. I won't do another New build anyway,  but that aside, they all seem to be so crammed in. Front doors not 5 feet from the pavement, and those with a garage barely have enough room to get a good size car on the drive, be able to open the garage door, and not have the boot blocking the pavement so pedestrians have to step into the road.

My journey home sees the traffic backed all the way up downshire way/329m to the motorway slip roads. All because of that stupid junction they put in to service that new development.

Which is a good point. That makes access to Crowthorne and Sandhurst area from Bracknell a nightmare that will only get worse.  :(

Yeah, miserable bugger. Too busy growing a new caravan apparently.  :-\

Come to think of it, our Wilf's been quieter than usual on here lately ... and I noticed some 'strange' goings-on in his neck of the woods whilst working a train last Saturday evening.

Coincidence or not, it seems that he's been under-estimated here ... organic caravanning ... crikey, who'd have thought of that one? 8)
i thought you did seth ;D ;D
Nope, it was definitely your good self Wilf.

They have forecast this weekend being hot and sunny.  :y :y :y Good, it will give me chance to catch up in the garden, which is looking rather neglected.  ::)

What will you be doing?
got all the green muck of my caravan ,from to much rain ;D ;D ;D
You can't just grow another one Rolf.  ;D

I want the house 2 doors down, which has just sold again.

But the asking price was more than I would be prepared to pay, just to gain a double garage.
Yes you mentioned that before iirc. But as all things are relative, if yours is worth more than you thought, it may not be so expensive after all. If yours is worth more than you thought of course.

Otherwise, tend to agree. It ain't cheap.

Would the new doors show how the plug works?

Equity value is way higher down here though. A purchase, say 30 years ago, will yealed almost twice as much cash as oop North.

Gives a much larger sum if you downgrade when you retire, or whatever.  :y

E.g.
A 4bed detached house in South west London suberbs,  35 years ago cost £3,500. Today, £750,000. That house would yield £250k less up there I guess....?

But all thingaps are relative, as they say. :)
You can get yourself a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom detached house with double garage and still have change from £250K in Cornwall ::) http://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detailMatching.html?prop=24116517&sale=48805127&country=england

That's interesting. Bit of a commute, but I mean the interior. No clutter, at all. Like its been done up to sell. Minimal ornaments. Precisely placed vases etc, like a new build show home. But a very well established garden. ...?
