15" alloy wheels
« on: 05 January 2011, 13:33:10 »

Does anyone know what was the lightest 15" alloy wheel that will fit on an Omega and will it take a 225/50/15 tyre ok.

TIA  ;)

I would also shop around a little for tyres before settling on a size as some of them are getting rare, especially if this is for a track car (= tyre eater).

I have 205/50/15s on the Westfield and need a new pair on the front. I think I'll be changing to 195/50/15 at this rate, looking at the price and availability difference. :o

Do you specifically want Vauxhall wheels, or aftermarket OK? Because there are some very, very light competition wheels out there..

(Used to have a set of Volks - the 16" wider Volks were considerably lighter than the original 15" narrower wheels on the MR2 by some degree. Still wish I hadn't sold those.)

I changed my Rover diesel from 185/55/15s to 195/50/15 due to cost and got 4 new Yokohama tyres for £39 each but even my Rover diesel will easily spin the front wheels in the wet so the Westy will be a little lively  ;D
