Hi fellow OOFERS.
It has come to my attention that some parts of my computer display on the good old Omega is not working as it should.
It reads instant consumption
It tells me the outside temperature
It tells me how much fuel i have used etc, but,
When it comes time to tell me overall consumption as in ( You have averaged 28.8 mpg ) it don't want to tell me at all, It just says 0mpg.
Now maybe i have frightened it by not really wanting it to tell me but curiosity makes me mad, After all it killed the cat didnt it..
So, Does anyone have any idea why it does not tell me, Answers on a postcard and you shall be entered into the draw to win an all expenses night out with our favourite Prime Minister..You pay the expenses though..

Mmm, And theres me thinking i got a 2.0 Auto..
Oh well at least i know now... Best not to look for any more problems..
Because it is telling me 2.5 manual is it going to cause any problems to me or shouldnt i worry..

Ok disconnected the MAF sensor, Car still running the same but threw up code 57 so now i have

I will soon be up to ten codes this way..
The car ticks over, As soon as you try to give it throttle it splutters, in fact it has backfired through the air filter a few times..
You can get it to rev quite fast and it stays there no problem but letting off the throttle back to tick over then try to throttle again then splutter splutter..
A few weeks ago i posted about possible fuel contamination.I fueled up at the local Morrisons and within a mile it didnt want to tick over, anyway after complaining and sending trading standards there they come back to me and said.
The supermarket had a delivery of petrol on Saturday morning. I fueled up on Saturday afternoon but, They also had a delivery on Sunday afternoon, strange i would say, so therefore Trading standards couldnt take a sample..I offered a sample from my car but no reply..
What i am getting at is, would it have buggered up my Lambda sensor and would these symptoms point to the Lambda..
