In my city, these beautiful cars are now serving in the municipal guard.

Very interesting information. Thankyou for posting it.

Still a very good looking vehicle in that livery, doesn't seem to date at all.

It's the front end, it was always the front end. Looked no different to an astra or corsa. Side and rear views looked good.

I'm police detective for 27 years. The best featured cars purchased by the government I drove were Blazer 4.3 V6 and Land Rover Defender 110. Uncharacterized cars, seized from drug dealers and made available to the police service are much better.

I agree with you. In our case, Omega is just a means of transportation. Beautiful and comfortable, although already quite outdated.

In Brazil, versions of Omega (domestic or imported from Australia) were used only to transport senior Federal Government officials, including the President. I like to see my co-workers using safe and powerful cars. For me this shows that in that country the security of citizens is taken seriously. In the name of the "economy", in the past I was forced to chase bandits with a 1.0 car !!! ;D ;D ;D In recent years there has been a great improvement in the quality of cars and equipment after an agreement with the judiciary. Seized cars and weapons, which previously rotted in deposits, are now handed over to the police for use.

This is a great deal with the judiciary! Since last year, we have an organization that distributes the seized cars by law enforcement agencies. Only ... they are interested in cars like Toyota LC, Lexus RX/LX, Range Rover, Mercedes GL ... :-\

I believe that these police organizations want to copy Dubai, ;D ;D ;D. I have worked with an uncharacterized car that belonged to a drug dealer and the other teams in my former police station too, and this occurs in all state and federal police stations. In these cases, the police institution provides only a new license plate and the fuel to work. Maintenance and insurance is the responsibility of the police team that received the vehicle. In investigative work, an imported, expensive and flashy car is not efficient, as it draws a lot of attention, in addition to the high cost of maintenance.
