Bushes - again
« on: 10 April 2014, 14:19:48 »

Hi guys, I replaced bushes for poly ones today, well handling has improved - especially cornering BUT ... knocking is still there, wheels have no play AFAIK  :-[
I plan to change tyres next week and if miggy will be up anyway , what should I look for? Thanks, Stan

Droplinks?

Sometimes they do knock even if you cannot feel play, is it doing on one side?

Might be worth swapping droplinks side to side if thats the case, see if it moves.

Not too fiddly to do that yes, could do it tomorrow, thanks Tunnie. It's hard to tell if it's only one side's fault. It can be heard over those small bumbs on the road, doesn't knock at all if I hit a sewer vent or a bigger bump. Maybe the play is too small to locate it by feel

Disconnect the bottom, or remove them completely, and try it on a bumpy road. That will prove whether it is the droplinks. Which is highly likely.
