Any help appreciated
Problem with rear suspension sitting lower at one side
Recently replaced both springs
Car still sitting down lower on one
No self levelling suspension
It is quite noticeable as car taken for 4 wheel check and garage said they could not carry this out due to the difference in ride height at NSR and OSR

Have you checked the condition of the subframe mounts?
That's the donuts at the end of each sill(under the triangular plate) and the diff mounts at the back of the diff. Those are the second place to look once you've rechecked the springs

Also check the shocks, as these can affect ride height.

You did put the rubber pads back, after changing the springs.

I bought a pair of Suplex rear springs from an auto factors a couple of years ago. Although identically labelled and marked, when placed side by side, one was about an inch shorter than the other. I returned them and got a matching pair which I fitted.
Probably a bit difficult to check this now as the new springs have been fitted, but worth considering if all other checks fail to find the cause.

IIRC Terry had a top shock mount disintegrating, but I would think this would be fairly obvious. :-\

I did indeed, but the spring mounting was not damaged so ride height was not affected, and the shock absorber made quite a racket banging about in the boot.

Would anyone know what the rear ride height should be on the saloon?

Height can vary due to age of springs, shocks etc. My 3.2 always sits a bit lower than my old 2.2 did (self levelling removed on 3.2)
Have you checked both shocks? Along with rear donuts has suggested?

Yours has nothing to do with age... Self levelling springs are softer than non self levelling ones... Without the air support it probably sits 2-3" lower ::)

Saloon ones?

Checked both new springs off the car
Checked donut bushes all ok
Checked diff mounts all ok
Still have same problem lying lower at n/s/r

Does both springs have the same part number?
I cant think what else could cause that than different spring constants on springs, if nothing else have been changed than springs and before it was OK.
You could also test to change springs to opposite sides, does it change the side of lower corner or does it remain the same?
If it changes, then its the springs. If it doesn't, then there is something weird at chassis. Well I don't know for sure, but just for thought ::)

hi. just because its sitting lower at the back doesnt necesarily mean the problem is at the back. unless the car is twisted which i dont imagine it will be then if you have one side higher at the back this could mean the front opposite corner is low.you realy need to confirm ride heights to see if its the back or front.they can all be slightly different.mine is a 2003 cdx and as a basic look out of my window at it you can see a good couple of inches between the top of the front tyre and arch and possibly 3” on the back wheel but as i say they will all be slightly different due to age,different specs,different makes of spring etc.
so.starting at the back first i assume this problem was also there with the old springs and new ones are the same even if you swap them side to side ?.
as been mentioned the springs both have their rubbers and no signs of any rusting or other damage to the seats ?.
no obvious faults / equal gaps etc between side crossmember mounts (donuts!) and the rear diff mounts.
no obvious damage /bends or otherwise to rear arms .
no different tyre sizes fitted !
then moving on to the front.have you done any work to springs,strut top mounts etc and with suspension hanging free can you confirm the springs are not broken,no evidence of broken ends even thou the broken bit may have fallen out.(they dont usually!)
