silly behavior of some lights during breaking
« on: 09 October 2007, 15:38:22 »

Hi everybody!

I have noticed something recently on my facelift 2.2 16V.

When the lights are on the middle stop light is on all the time (it should be on only when I brake). It does light up somewhat stronger when I brake but it is on all the time.

Now, when the lights are not on it works normally – only when I brake but also the front left light goes on during breaking!

What could be the cause of this silly behavior?

I'd be looking at dodgy earths - or perhaps the wrong type of bulbs put in - straight-pinned rather than angled. Did that once to an old Skoda at work, meant when you braked the headlamps came on, when you turned the headlights on the wipers started. Hilarious.
