Hello,
as per subject...
decided to swap the bulbs on the clocks as 1 or 2 had gone, made sure key was out etc, unplugged mid, pulled clocks out, changed bulbs, put back and now no mid at all?

i've currently got the battery unhooked to see if leaving it and connecting it back up later will cure it

what do people think?

hello, i just thought id ask this as i dont know if its ever been asked but... How come nobody asks/says about advancing the timing slightly on the cams at such as timing belt time? Obviously i know the valves operate in interference with the piston crowns but surely setting the marks 1-2mm at a guess infront shouldn't mash valves should it? And advancing the timing would mean more power? Just thought id ask. Alex

where can i get the circuit board from for the keyfob part of the key on a facelift?
the second key needs the PCB replacing inside the fob
do you have to buy the full blank keyblade and fob section from a dealer? price?

hello,
it was fine lastnight but started car this morning, turned radio on, ejected cd cartridge to swap cd's and cartridge wouldnt eject, saying no cd cartridge on screen or whatever it is, anyway pressed eject to lower flap and flicked cd eject (from cartridge) just to pull it out a bit and then it came out, pushed it back in after swapping cd's and still said no cd cartridge

what does this mean  ???
possibly try disconnecting battery for an hour or so and try again or dead cdc requiring swapping over?

lol you can all see where im going...
i fancy buying a 3.2 lump to turbo-since it has a forged crank
where could i get forged rods for it from? may as well look at decomp pistons too lol
i had the idea of chopping the dp where the precats are and fitting a small turbo at each side instead :P

anybody fancy humouring me and pointing me towards some conrods?

hello,
I've bought some mahussive 9.5J AMG wheels... they're very yummy....

i'm trying to get wider tyres on the back than the front so turn in isnt like turning a barge by hand from the towpath lol

basically with tyre sizes and aspect ratios i can get it to within about 0.7% speed difference or 794.6revs per mile and 789.7 revs per mile

that is what i was asked at the petrol station tonight by a 2.2 estate driver lol

he was convinced mine was an MV6 having the 3.2 and boot spoiler, i repeatedly corrected him and told him it was an elite though

...if he looked at the front door he would see it was an elite... his was only a CD or a CDX with a missing X lol (yes i looked as i pulled up lol)

...we walked into the petrol station about the same time (im sure he loitered at his pump to wait) and i got quizzed, and told he previously has an ex plod MV6 3.0 which made me smile a bit... i refrained from telling him my 3.0 MV6 bottom end went lol!

...i wondered if he would say anything and thought probably not then he couldnt get enough :P lmfao!!!  :y

am i right in thinking the 3.2 uses G and J cams?

can somebody tell me which way round they are for intake and exhaust?

is there a gain to be had from running G cams on exhaust and intake?

Omega General Help / load compensating suspension pump noisy....

Hello,
I couldnt help noticing the pump for the rear suspension on the elite was making a wierd noise almost like one of those instruments with beads wrapped round it, it was quite noisy when I turned the car off and left it for about 2/3 minutes (id put petrol in and on the way out from paying for it, made the noise or was it just after i'd started it? hmmmm it actually sounds-thinking about it...like a tube of smarties when you tip them up lol!!

can somebody tell me how much work there is electrically?
obviously i know about the start prevention in gear and reverse lights, also what about the engine retarding to change gear or whatever it is? do you have to swap the ecu and key fob blah blah for that off a manual?

hello, im trying to gauge interest as i really want a manual facelift 3.0/3.2 , i've been offered a 3.2 facelift estate which im quite tempted by just that i dont really need an estate if im being honest, its just me and occasionally airport run luggage/ engine hoists and gearboxes which go in the saloon anyway.

good bits:
i've fitted an ar35, new gm crank sensor, new wishbones(ok i havn't got round to fitting passenger side yet but if its going then i can if somebody wants) its done less than 200 miles since so still fresh incase somebody wanted to use them on another car and same for crank sensor
replaced window switch so all those work
buyer can have the old ar25 and t/c

bad bits:
front bumper needs spraying, i tried spraying it after filing some knocks etc and the colour match wasnt very good
managed to crack the windscreen with the cold weather which i can have done for £75 but depends if someone wants or if they just want it for bits
rust on rear arch as previous thread and odd small bubble appearing on rear doors
diff noisey but have sourced a replacement so can be with it fitted or not fitted if you just want the diff to flog
bit of a knock on drivers side over bumps-possibly steering box needs adjusting or droplinks if your lucky and a slightly warped front passenger side disc for what its worth lol
seat heaters still dont work, they dont bother me as id rather not feel like ive wet myself lol

it has served me quite well while ive had it but sometimes goes into limp mode with gearbox possibly solenoid being the problem

is very capable of doing long journeys without problem- did sheffield to leicester and back last night with a gearbox, diveshafts and hubs in boot quite happily lol

i'm looking at £500 but would prefer 550 as it owes me atleast that and will have 6 months tax if somebody wants it to use
