thanx to everyone for your advice.i put the wynnes in yest seems to have eased the tapping in the cam area just got l oil leak by the crank wheel cant find any other leaks ,serek did good job of camcovers bless him its probably pressure pushin oil out of front crankseal i guess.had it done last year but geezer must have done a crap job have to go back to serek when its poss i always use best 10 40 oil castrol semi synthetic.

thankyou all ive had the car 15 years now drive it regular as clockwork except last 4 weeks just to shops etc so not many miles standing around 4 days at a time then just say 5miles at a time. had starter motor replaced 4 weeks ago just when lockdown come.its just annoying tapping maybe as im not driving it much 40 10 oil in it new everything.little leak under crankwheel appeared after camcovers were done by serek hes excellent not his fault.i was told crank pressure can move around to weakest place and leak.maybe crank seal leaking aswell.thanks

Hi to all hope you are all well as can be,had loads done on my omega last year or so you name it.just got this little annoying knock/tapping when i start up gets quieter when running as im inside the car.little oil under crank wheel,had cam covers all done all good.just the noise  wonder what it is? most mechanics said it sounds all good,maybe just me.cheers

hi andy,lookers have a new call centre now and parts hub in brum i placed the order verbally for replacement of camcover gaskets inc
the kid who works there ordered cambelt cover and priced for that.so after endless fonecalls today to vauxhall they said the costs for what i wanted would be considerably more so i told them to shove it.as you do. have a trip to sereks thurs sort a few more odds and ends out while im there.

well latest on camcovers vauxhall got it all wrong the order so i told them what to do with it.so im following senior members advice booked it in with serek for thursday 150 can complain daytrip for the kids and i can have a chat with him in polish ;D

alright mate,im in yardley wood birmingham. its just easier for me to have it done at lookers.work ,kids,etc like doctor gollum said by the time ive been there and back. juice time,loss of earnings,im self employed decorator so you know. the crack.thanx for your imput

got say ive had my omega 15 years now had cambelt go,(crank sprocket) new valves 2 years ago and nearly everything replaced inc diff,gearbox just got extensive refurb by top lads i got to say 3.2 elite still goes like an express train nothing keeps up with her, just the leak to sort and then im starting the cosmetic side of it.

fair point  doc.thanx for imput lizzie but docs right vauxhall local and get the back up.serek must be good fair play to  him and those who use him.but docs right 160 miles there and back just had cambelts done by my mate but hes not too good at rocker covers haha so ill leave it to the topguns sick off topping oil up lets get it done! im going to torquay leak or no leak.

hi to all i had confirmation from vauxhall price for 2 banks gasket replacement to rocker covers 224 which i think is ok.parts coming from germany 7 to 10 days,they said they would clean breathers aswell while doing the job,very nice of them.ill keep you posted.mny thanx for your comments most appreciated. :y
