Yes and in the early '80s[82?] we had the Renault 9 :D From memory there are not that many cars of the year that have gone on to be truly successful.
I had a Renault 9 once  :'(...car of the year, truly ludicrous..

Car Parts 4 Less are having a flash sale today only and it's 18% off oils.  :y

The code is OIL18

Thanks for the tip......I just purchased some using the code - saved a lot compared to Euro whom I usually use!  :y

That's should do about 2mm ish I would say, you can do much thicker by rooting the joint first.

What I would advise is not having a flux cored MIG, chuffing orrible things......the simple fact it comes with a chipping hammer on a MIG tells a story...... ;D :D ;) :y

I recently purchased a "Wiltec" battery charger from Germany.
I wasn't asked for anything additional like Passport or driving licence details. It would make me nervous providing those - I wouldn't do it.  :y

I have heard that said a few times - I did say "eventually".
You are right though I'm sure - more powerful would be better  :y

Months ago I posted about trying my hand at welding for the first time.
Still no further cos' work work & more work.

Had the day off today, got roped in to a shopping trip but came across this welder machine at Lidl:

www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offers.htm?articleId=9615

Eventually, I want to weld a motorbike frame - a project I have on the go but have not touched for a few months.

What does anyone think about this welder? It seems like a reasonable price & comes with a 3 year warranty but is it any good?  :-\

I drive by Braintree fairly regularly but don't venture into it too often. I much prefer heading the other way: Sudbury is a lovely town & Long Melford is pretty. Good dog walking....
