Does'nt on mine either as someone has disconnected the sounder :(

wish i looked at the replys before i started took me ages to work out how to turn off the alarm all done now tho

I just use a set of jump leads so the battery can still be connected when its on the floor ::)

I found it easier to remove the headlamp than the battery.... both are 5 minute jobs actually, so not sure if there is a clear advantage to one over the other, but here's what I did:
