Kevin

You're aiming to be able to weld thin-ish ally sheet!  :y ;) ;)

Had a go at oxy/acetylene gas welding to start with, which I found a great way to start. Everything happens at a controllable rate and it's not unlike soldering,  ......

If you can master oxy/acetylene then you'll be able to TIG too, same technique. :y

Im so lucky as in I can enjoy a smoke now and again but not be bothered if I dont have one for weeks :)

I know that if I had just one cig now, even after 7 years of not smoking, I'd be back to square one/20+ a day again!

I think Alzheimers is setting in with me. I had to tax mine on line as I couldn't find my insurance policy. Seached everywhere for it, but I did find the proof of NCD from the previous insurer that I was sure I'd passed on. When I phoned my current insurer to ask ...... that's why I couldn't find it, I sent them current policy & not the proof of NCD!  :-[  :-[  :-[  :-[

Its still January today (sat) and so disc will be issued from the first Jan.  You cannot buy a disc in advance if the vehicle is currently untaxed.  Been that way for years, not just since it was available online....    :(

You used to be able to. SWMBO used to work in the LVLO in Pompey, you could pay for it from the following month, but they'd post it to you if the start date was so many days away.

....., I had a multicar policy with admiral, and nothing but hassle and charges for every little thing possible, and their own cust service was unable (more likely unwilling) to sort out any greivance satisfactorily

:'( :'( :'( I've just started with them for the Omega, my Astra shed & her Astra G!  :(

General Discussion Area / Re: quite confused by this ebay seller?
« on: 31 January 2009, 11:08:56 »
I think the seller is a bit confudled as what each engine's EGR looks like. I have a similar looking blanking plate on my Omega - EGR still plugged in. However SWMBO's 51 plate Astra G has got the software for the later cars installed, so even though the EGR (different fom Omega's -The plate on eBay wouldn't physically fit her car) is still bolted to the car, the plug is disconnected & tied up out of the way.

« on: 29 January 2009, 11:59:11 »
Depends what shift I'm on.
Earlies - a bowl of cereal & a coffee at 4:30 otherwise I'd be starving by 7:00ish & then a proper full breakfast at 9:30ish at work.
Lates - a bowl of cereal.
