Follow on from the renewal time thread I started.
How do they work. (Cash Back(CB))
Are they to be trusted.
Is it for new payments only (Do you have to be signed up before hand and then open the site you want cash back with in it)
I still have 2 weeks to sign up if I change my insurance, but even if I stay (Admiral) could I claim cash back using a CB service.
Which if any gives the best returns? :y

There are many services, the biggest two I know of are top cash back and Quidco. I've been using Quidco for years without issue. You do need to sign up, carefully follow the small print and it can take a month or so to get the money back. As I said in the other thread, I used Quidco insurance comparison and even without the cashback, it was still cheaper than money super market.

Ive used topcashback for years, been fine.
You need to get in the mindset of everytime you shop, check if you can go via there first.
Ive earned (and cashed out) just shy of £1500 buying nothing I wouldnt normally.

Sometimes things dont work, generally they do, so never rely on getting it.
I did lose some savings on one years back that went under, but hey ho, not really a loss anyway as free money.

Well it seems I allready had a Top Cash Back account, just never filled in the blanls.
The bonus is Jimbob just became a tad better off :y

I've just checked my TopCashback account and I joined in 2016 and have had £769.57 cashback. :y

Be carefull, as sometimes buying thro cashback the price is higher than from that retailers normal un-linked site, Insurance being the usual one.

Ive found they are best used for buying fixed price items, and can offer some good returns. Dont tend to use them for insurance personally.

If you read my other thread (Renewal Time) then yes I agree about the insurance.

Defo worth using - I'm over £2k up on Topcashback alone. The occasional item doesn't track, so I never use it thinking I'll get the cashback, its simply a bonus when I do.
Not noticed the difference with insurance quotes, though 9 time out of 10, I look at all the options, then just go through a cashback site to make actual purchase.
