Hi all, does anyone know where I can get a Cam belt kit from for a V6 Omega ?, i had one on order from Autodoc, but have just received an email  saying  due to an stock discrepancy they have cancelled  my order ( ie none in stock ) , have tried Eurocar parts and AutoVaux but no luck. I'm being told by all factors that there are none available.  Any help would much appreciated.

Hi all, I would  just like to say thanks for all the advice on my latest purchase running issues, ie running lumpy.  I did renew Plugs/Coil Packs/Cam cover gaskets and even bought a new Thermostat.  Now I need some more help in getting someone to do a Cam belt/Water pump change, too much for me to attempt. I live in Feltham,  nr Heathrow . Daz, Darth Loo nee done  one for me about 17 years ago. A point in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Ok chaps, I will start with the Coils and Plugs. Never done these on a 3.2 ( only a 96 2.5 CD), is it quite straightforward  ?, but I expect it to be a bit fiddly.

Thanks for all your rapid advice. I was thinking fuel related,  with the car standing a while,  condensation in tank. Firstly I will run the tank near empty and then put Performance Petrol and additives in, if no change I will have a go at the the complete ignition system.
Thanks again to everyone and will keep you updated.

Omega General Help / 3.2 Running lumpy.
« on: 12 April 2022, 07:53:31 »
Hi, I've recently acquired a 2003 3.2 , 115k. It has an intermittent fault; the EML flashes for a few seconds and then stays on and the car runs lumpy. Sometimes this doesn't happen,  but more frequently than not. The car has not been used alot in the last 2 years.  I haven't got a code reader and am asking advice and a recommendation of a good V6 mechanic in the TW14/Heathrow area. Can anyone help...please.

Omega General Help / Re: AUXILLARY BELT TENSIONER
« on: 06 February 2019, 14:36:06 »
Thanks for the quick reply. I have a new belt and complete tensioner assembly, to fit the whole thing looks too involved, i.e removal or ram intakes etc.. I was advised by RAC that it wasn't a difficult job, so provided i can get just the pulley ,it looks a pretty straight forward as you said.
Thanks again chaps.

Hi all, i would like to thank all those who helped and offered advice on my  " limping " Estate. It was really nice to put faces to all the names i have seen on the site. Tomorrw i will try and get a Cam sensor and put it on. I got back to Heathrow without incident, and have kept the sensor disconnected until i fit the new one. Once again, thanks to all at Hazlemere, and hope to see you later in the year. :)

Omega General Help / My 2.6 Auto cuts out ?
« on: 05 May 2012, 10:13:03 »
Hi All, the last 3 or 4 journeys my 03 2.6 auto has cut out and all the warning lights come on, but it fires up almost instantly with no warning lights or error codes flashing. There has never been a running problem in the 6 months i have owned the car and she continues to run sweet after this occurs. It happened after 10 minutes from start 1st time and about the same last time, i only had another mile or two to get home and it never happened again in that time. Any ideas what it could be and advice would be gratefuly received. ???
