Looks like the good Doctor has the old girl on life support  ;D pumping electric into the engine bay  :P

;D. Yes, it's one of them new fangled EVs, the V6 under the bonnet is a ruse  ;D

I actually invested in a battery maintainer and conditioner.  Got the AA one and it's been in use for 6months and battery strong and 13.5v when I measured  :D

I've dangled the small unit and wire deliberately in view so I don't drive off forgetting to unplug it  ;D

Interestingly, the Opel grill also had a blanking panel so you could blank off the top half of the grill at the back.  I assume that was for the more colder countries ? I left it off for now 😅

Treated the ole girl to a new part.  Can you spot the change  ;D

Always preferred the Opel grille, must be at least 20BHP more now  :D

Finally found it, too. Page 135 in Finnish manual. Difficult manual to find anything, another guide needed for that.

PDF and "Ctrl F" is your friend  :D

Omega General Help / Re: Eternal car exhausts,

Who did you order from?
How much were you looking at?

ETS now I think, all the same with P markings on the mid boxes

"P" aka Polmo are trademarks of POLMOstrów, which is a Polish exhaust manufacturer.

It seems that exhausts for Omegas are becoming scarce and the prices are rising.

You could try here for Kit 350 for a 2.5 saloon. This company was selling the Polmo exhausts on ebay UK but stopped post Brexit. However I understand another member managed to buy a kit directly some months ago. Certainly the website implies they will ship to the UK. AIUI import duty is only charged on goods worth more than £135 and import VAT on items more than £39. So you might be liable for VAT on import plus the clearance fee, whatever that is. Lot easier if you buy something already in this country.

I ordered one from auspuffteile via ebay several years ago and the kit arrived from Germany in about 5 days. The product was Polmo and the quality and fit were fine. Way better than Bosal.

One problem is that the exhaust suppliers are now shipping the Omega centre boxes, presumably for other makes as well, with a cut in the downstream pipes to the back box. So each centre box is in two sections joined with a sleeve. This presumably to shorten the shipping package and save some cost and/or storage space. At first sight this doesn't seem to be an issue but in fact it makes it a lot more fiddly to fit as you have to get everything lined up exactly in-situ before you seal and tighten. It's harder to do if you have no ramp or a pit. The Eternal exhausts are now supplied cut. And I suspect the Polmo ones are as well, no matter where they come from.

You can also use a 3.0L saloon exhaust, the difference is the back box has twin tailpipes instead of the bigger single tailpipe on the 2.5L. Kit 351 is for a 3.0 saloon, I believe.

Oooops, I should have read before I posted  ;D

Estate or saloon?
Engine code?

96 2.5 V6 saloon

I went for the 3.0 V6 one as gave me twin tail pipes :D rather than the single tailpipe for the 2.5  :(.  I recall both fit perfectly. :y

I would have posted what Andy had, but as I was distracted by how to set the clock, it took me a moment longer to get to the Climate Control instructions  :D

That manual is stuffed full of useful information... If only there was somewhere nice and fluffy that had a sticky for a free download version that you could access anywhere...  ::)

 ;D

I have the MFL (V Plate) which I guess there is no pdf download.  But I have one of them new fangled paper ones they supplied me with the car when I bought her  :y (over 21 years ago as well  :D)

Hello.
During the attempt of resetting the panel some time ago i managed to change the display from showing degrees in celsius to Fahrenheit.
I don't remember witch two buttons i used. I've sold the car and this bugs the new owner and he can't seem to change it back with "My Naff Code Reader" either.
Any suggestions?

Press the Auto Button for 3 seconds, or that's what page 127 of the Electronic OmegaOct2002.pdf manual tells me :)

Hope it works ;)
Nice one, Dr Andy.  :y

No worries -  :y
