Happy Easter to all, just got in after having the best Sunday lunch in a long time beautiful bit of beef & horseradish sauce that could blow your socks off and the roast potatoes magnificent & a little bit of alcohol to wash it all down there's a lot to be said to be having a meal with great friends..👍

This one is midnight blue with tan leather, I'm going to keep the colour the same but although the seats look in good nick I know of someone local who can refurb them completely, I'm going to keep them the same colour but will have the leather in the "diamond quilted" pattern that can be seen on most Bentleys.
Keep them original, Mick.

^This!^  :y

How original though?

Say, for example, you replace points and coil on a sixties classic for electronic ignition. Or modern tyres and brakes.

What Rangie describes sounds like an 'acceptable update' to me.

Just wanted a slight difference to make it more "personalised" to me, everything else exactly to as new condition, even my missus liked driving the Granadas at one point we had two she had a 3.0 GL & I had the 3.0 Ghia, the MK2 I had was only a 2.3LX in gay gold 👍

Or shaking hands when you get out ;D ;D

Now now, we don't want poor old Rog to have heart attack or anything! ;D

Absolutely not. A nice sedate Morris Minor Woody should fit the bill. Picnic rug and a thermos flask and some bread to feed the ducks. :)
.

Saw a beautiful K reg woody in Sainsbury's car park yesterday totally immaculate, always liked them would have one without a doubt.

Mk2 is better looking than the MK1 in my opinion. :y

Sounds like a good buy. :y

Is it the 2.8V6.....or the 3 litre 'Essex V6'

X reg is 1980/81 I think.
.

Yes it's a 2.8 I have owned a 2.3 MK2 & 3.0 MK1 have driven a 2.8 ( belonged to my father)

The Granada is being collected today & going straight to a bodyshop where my mates MGB V8 is almost completely restored, I have decided to go for a complete restoration as well he wanted the best MGB V8 in the UK so I want the best Granada Ghia it will take a while but it will be a stunner eventually..👍
Sounds like a plan, Mick. Can't wait to see the results when it's done. Are you going to drive it or keep it as a show car?
.

It will be driven on dry days only obviously, but I will definitely join an owners club so I can show it , I read quite a few articles about them and realised the only way to go with this was a total strip down the guy who looks after our Subaru is a Ford trained engineer so he will deal with all the mechanicals .

My first car, a 1980 Renault 5 GTL produced about 500bhp and went like stink!  8)                                                ;D
.

My missus had a Renault 11 Turbo about 30 odd years ago , she collected points like they were going out of fashion, so bought her a Subaru Forester to replace it & she's had one ever since.

According to a previous  member of crew being interviewed the vessel had encountered several mechanical problems in the past, probably well past its serviceable life & poor maintenance wouldn't suprise me in the slightest, hope whoever owns it has decent insurance for all involved , I can see this incident opening up a whole can of worms.

Had the Subaru Forester 7 years on the 1st of April, again the car came with all service bills receipts from the one & only owner (deceased neighbour) again I have every receipt / bill since I've owned it total costs to date £1426.79 that includes two timing belts & water pumps tyres etc etc. Pretty good value & it never misses a beat ..👍
