6s batteries take about 30 mins to do normally, 2 screws, prise screen out, couple connectors, release the glue tab, replace.

Its 7 onwards thats a different ball game.

General Discussion Area / Re: Covid Deaths
« on: 12 November 2020, 10:18:25 »
Ive ignored their figures in this all along, and used my own from the office of National Statistics.

They helpfully publish deaths this year every week, week by week, compared the average of that week over the last 5 years.  Gives a decent insight into the real situation
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/datasets/weeklyprovisionalfiguresondeathsregisteredinenglandandwales

In this spreadsheet just look at the weekly figures tab, rows 9 & 10
https://www.ons.gov.uk/file?uri=%2fpeoplepopulationandcommunity%2fbirthsdeathsandmarriages%2fdeaths%2fdatasets%2fweeklyprovisionalfiguresondeathsregisteredinenglandandwales%2f2020/publishedweek442020.xlsx

You can see how it ramped up from average figures to over double the weekly deaths at its maximum, then reducing once noone was going out, and now ramping up again

There is also some Covid data in there but I ignore it in favour of the above, as they are absolute figures, not depending if someone thought covid was somehow involved.

Same boat here, keep looking at auto trader, but cant find anything that really appeals to swap the E-Class for.

Cheers all.

No. Not finished yet met each goal I’ve set myself so far. Aiming for another 12 kg over the next year as I expect it to be much harder now.

My avatar here has always been a fairly accurate representaion of me....however recently thats changed so think its time for a change, when I decide what to...

A year ago this week, I decided I needed to lose some weight and get fitter so joined a gym.
I've now lost 35 Kgs or 5 Stone 7 lbs in old money, which is over 25% of my starting weight!  I've gone from 44" trousers being a tight fit to 36" being loose.
Running a bath was about my limit, I can now run 5k in about 32 minutes, or do a solid hour's cardio in the gym!  It has made a massive difference to everyday life too.
Amazing what some effort and cutting down on things like my Hobbit-esqe second breakfasts, snacking and drinking can do.
Huge thanks to the family to putting up with my tiredness from early morning gym visits and running at a calorie deficency.  Lets see what year 2 brings!

Before....

And After.....

Do you have the genuine part numbers?

Not yet, not in a particular rush, the car barely moves these days, and if I could think how to best replace it, I'd prob not be doing em at all
Do you have access to the numbers?

Nope, not ever downloaded any systems as not needed em before now!
Only thing I sussed was how to do a free sat nav update :)

Mercedes brakes are similarly priced to VX ones unless you're buying for something like the S65 or GL63 ;)

Eurocraparts only worth considering during one of their better sales, but only if you can buy decent brands from them in the sale.

Ate discs and Jurid pads, although both retail for as much as genuine bits, so shop carefully  :y

cheers, good to know

Got an MOT pass on the E Class.

Just advisories on front and rear disks, so need to weigh up options there
Merc service parts are sometimes pretty reasonable, so always worth a call to the dealer. Even if you then decline their offer :y

Will do,

ATE disks and pads all round from ECP came in about £360 as a starting point.
Ill see what the parts are, or the whole job at indy and take it from there.
