So far not had time to check properly, the old one with no pictures on 1st screen works.
The one you sent me doesnt run properly, complains of a missing file and the graphics are corrupt, but will try again, the opel-tech didnt seem to work, but need to try properly.
So 1 out the 3 has worked, anyone found any other versions?
Soon as I get a chance I will try em all again on both cars.

The other possibility is the old laptop was running windows 98 as opposed to XP on the newer one.
at 266mhz and 48mb ram, its about all it can manage!

Tried the device in a more powerful laptop last night....
And it works fine!
So, anyone having trouble & Using that old laptop thats been in the loft for years, may be worth trying a better laptop.
As it is just a serial connection, I assumed any old thing could drive it, would appear not to be the case.
Only tried it on the MV6 briefly so far, but looking good.

Cheers
Cant get the bloody thing working though
On a real com1 port
tried various settings
just get the same error:
after selecting car, then picking an item, I get a box saying which 'pin' in use, then moves on to the next screen, after a second or 2 I get 'Not found interface! (there is no echo)'
Anyone had this? got around it?
I get this whether connected to the car or not.

The software (above) I've looked at, shows 4 options, Engine, Transmission, Chassis & Body
So I presume so, will know a bit more when I open it up and have a look.
the one I've bought is :

After just over a month, I've had a phonecall from the Mrs saying 'A Chinese parcel has arrived'
Looks like Chinese customs have had it.
Looking forward to having a play
has anyone tried the English software from www.talktomycar.co.uk with it?
Is it the same? notice it has English / Hungarian option so looks promising.
No faults to use it on yet, but with 2 meega's in the house, thought it may well be worth getting in advance, especially with a month's delivery time! At under £30 it will pay for itself if I use it once.
Will plug it in once I've charged up the old laptop and see if it talks to either / both.

I have a problem with any by the hotpoint chain!
Since getting a miele, no problems
bit dear mind, but did get it with a 10 year parts and labour guarantee included, so not bad when you consider no bills for 10 years!

I think you will find, dear sir, that the precise words were ' Up yours petrol head'.
No, seriously, I am looking for something with a challenge. An autobox change is possible, but I fancy something else. Like a top end rebuild, or another crashed one or something to get my teeth into.
Incidentally...... found this 'interesting' MV6 on ebay. I am not interested in it, but can anyone spot what is wrong?

OK, ended now anyway. here is what I found interesting....
2.5 MV6?
Tourer Wheels
Tourer Spoiler
Guy confirmed to me that log book sasy MV6. Were they not all 3.0s?
And single exhaust
I thought MV6 were '98 onwards?
edit: just relooked, listing ended due to error - relisted as tourer!
