Turns out that it was drugs.  They also say that 90% of German Euros are contaminated with cocaine.  That's quite a lot.  My question is, would you get in trouble for having traces of cocaine or 'drug paraphenalia' if you took German Euros into another country?  The US might not be too bad, but what about arab countries?

I've read this too, but in the report I read, it was widely thought that the comtamination on most notes is due to the notes sharing wallet/purse space with others and haven't actually been subject to the practice of drug taking.
