Omega MV6 recommissioned
« on: 24 September 2020, 21:35:11 »

Well finally got S613BNP back on road.

Got an MOT this week, previous one Feb 2013. Will probably tax it from start of October

At 56k miles there’s plenty of life in the old girl.

Getting used to driving a manual is weird after a few years of automatic cars.

Few bits to do on bodywork to make perfect, and refurb wheels.

Champagne & black leather - nice 90s combination  ;)

Well done indeed, it's a long journey bringing a car back up to scratch after it's been 'laid up' for a while.  :y

Mmmm the colour is not ideal nowadays - bit out of fashion, but at the time it was nice. Black recaro leather and telephone headset/Bose sound. Rare manual as well

I bought this car when it was about 1 year old with 8k miles on it. 1st owner was Vauxhall Motors - suspect a demo or staff car. This was from the stealer in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.

I had to sell it about 7 months later due to upsizing our house at the time, so had to liquidate some assets. I sold it to Nidd Vale Motors network Q -  in Harrogate.

A chap bought it from them and kept it ever since, only putting about 45k miles on it over 17 years.

I’ve got the original invoice when I bought it, but spent nothing on it due to short time I had it.

The previous owner has however passed me a full file of maintenance etc including the purchase invoice when he bought it, together with all MOTs.

I contacted DVLA and to cut a long story short bought it back from him. So the V5 shows me as the previous owner  :)

Certainly a hood history backed up with paperwork and handbooks etc.....
