Roads around here have finally gone quiet. Not quite as quiet as first lockdown, but not far off.
Hopefully its a sign that people are taking it seriously at last.  ::)
You must live in a rural area, fickin madness here because all manufacturing is open.

I didn't know that Churches offered Click and Collect weddings. funerals and Sunday services.  :y

I doubt the Mosques do it though as I think they adhere to their scriptures quite rigidly and I doubt Mohammed offered any instructions on how to go about it.  :-\

What about the Jehovahs?  :D

The last ten months would have been better if people HAD just carried on regardless.

All we are doing constantly by constantly chopping and changing is prolonging the total clusterfick that passes for life these days. At somepoint someone is going to need to stand up and accept that we're going to have to live (and possibly die) with it. May as well admit it already and get doing than hide indoors until the moon falls out of the sky :-X

As they didn't bother shutting the doors at the first mention, then they shouldn't have bothered doing anything beyond looking to improve treatments and produce the vaccine. Whilst we are on the subject, WTF weren't the Nightingale hospitals used as Covid treatment centres from the second they were set up rather than completely stiffling the rest of the NHS?

And the figures are still irrelevant in the grand scheme of things... 464, 437 babies were born in England and Wales alone between January and September 2020. That's a net growth of over 386,000 people.

And what future are they going to have if the kids of today can't be properly educated? Not that there will be an economy for them to contribute to >:(

At work we asked the Government (MOD) to postpone the project we have to finish and demonstrate in February.
We calculate we need 8 people at the demo 7 of whole will have to stay in hotels just West of the M25. For 3 nights.
We think the MOD will have 3 to 10 observers. From all over.
To actually get to that point, we have to get at least 6 people in a workshop to integrate all the stuff they have worked on remotely in cyloys.  We can not easily do it remotely.  The Engineering Director thinks it needs 15 days.  3 of those people can not commute daily.

We've asked the MOD. thier responce has been "please minimise the number of people you send, we can not delay.
There's nothing that couldn't be delayed 6 months in my humble oppinion.
Oh and I'm supposed to pull together risk assessments on this.

Similar here. ::)

Still, at least all the "non-essential" dawdling Polo drivers have disappeared from my commute. The Little Blue Pussy isn't quite as frugal on fuel when "cracking on", mind. :o  ::)
