Bad enough running out of juice in a car, but the same thing happeing a few 1000 feet in the air.  Dont think it's for me.

The A330 can glide from Bermuda to the Azores, and that has two engines. :D

I didn't think you were allowed to put lithium batteries in the hold?  ???  :D

It was recharging lithium batteries in place that caused Boeing's problems. The more aggressive chemistry of a lithium-ion  battery is what makes it more suitable for a lot of uses than other types. But, changes always come with a cost, and the need to be a lot more careful charging the things is one of them.

One day they will be covered in solor cells plus they will find a way to funnel air to create a turbine generator. :y
