If it's the coolant hose, why not blank off each end? A heated throttle body is hardly necessary here.

Alternatively, remove the broken piece of pipe(careful use of a Dremel is probably easiest) and replace it. That might require a little ingenuity, but won't be particularly difficult

Okay chaps,

Today I am very happy,
I managed to source a second hand thottle body,
For 40 notes, was very grotty but spent lots of time
Cleaning it up, it came up like brand new,
Have fitted to my car and it runs like a dream,
No dead spots responds instantly to the thottle,
In 7 years of ownership I have always had to kick
Down a gear to over take, and has always sounded laboured on hills, not anymore it picks up
And takes of even without goin down a gear,
If there is any one out there that’s thinks cleaning
The throttle body, isn’t important or won’t make much difference, think again.
All I can say is wow, oh and thanks for your help doc. :) :y

Hi guys

Just a follow up question
As to my happy ending,
How often would you recommend
Cleaning the throttle body?
