Makes you feel very old and disconnected from the world, doesn't it?
A bit like when I used to piss myself at some monty python sketches and my dad would just look totally confused.

It is a bit of fun in the world of so often boring insurance in the 21st century, showing that even if you have a child who lets rip and breaks free of 'normal' constraints, with a bit of havoc involved, as children can, John Lewis Insurance will pay out.

You lot have got far too serious! ;D ;D ;D ;)

.............................and for those few on here who are worried about such things, there is not a black, Asian, or any colour face but white! ;D ;D ;D :)

Don't talk shite please, Lizzie. It's totally against the terms and conditions of their home insurance policies.

It's strange but during my time at school I didn't come across, or hear of one single kid, who wanted to apply lippy and dress in drag.

Perhaps such boys were everywhere but I just didn't notice. ::) ::)

Or perhaps they were not, and boys were just happy being boys. :y

Typical woke advert that has no connection with 99% of the population.

Yep  .
Which raises the question why such a company would use an advert ostensibly to promote their provided services and /or products which shows a pampered ,precocious little f\/cked up brat casually causing mayhem in an otherwise harmonious household whilst receiving a " Oh f\/ck not again ..." expression from the victims of his more than odd behaviour .
I'm sure we'll see responses from Industry experts  ::) in the media as to the USP of the ad content but It's obvious it's just more woke culture in pandering to that minisicule % of shouty androgynous individuals....again.
I used to hold JL in high esteem but seeing this, from their insurance division, certainly wouldn't persuade me to purchase from them over AN Other .

It's an 'Islington advert' very middle class.

Self indulgent brat, one who has probably never even been told off, decides to trash his parents £3.4 million North London home knowing they will do nothing.

This advert wouldn't work if the kid was from a council estate, and his Dad was a 'hard as nails' docker.....or similar. ;)

No, you would not have noticed because such boys, and girls, who were terrified to come out hid their feelings, often with very tragic ends!

As I have said to Steve, you and all others are taking life, which comes in many forms, far too seriously and to use a mind set stuck in the 1950's is of no help to you or anyone else. ::) ::) ::)  The trouble is by making the serious comments you are it can harm very vulnerable individuals.

Thank God life is now becoming far more open and interesting for the younger generations who CAN speak about anything from mental health, sexual concerns , and anything to do with LGBT issues, which DID exist in the past but due to rigid, insular thinking, was kept hidden.

I really do hope that not too many non-OOF members (yes, they exist out there on this PUBLIC web site!) click onto these repeated threads, banging on negatively about very real human issues, let alone those to do with WOKE,  frankly can cause severe mental health harm.  But I know you and others just do not care.  But individuals like me, as one of many advisors on such matters for the police and other organisations, do care about these individuals, which actually are also members of the OOF. ::) ::)
