I tried cleaning out the washer system and in doing so managed to push the gromit through in to the reservior.  Not the actual pump, i think its the level sensor.
I cant find a gromit to match, so do i remove the entire reservior? Any bright ideas?

Bumper and crash bar off, a ten minute job. Although you might just have room to wriggle it out with the bumper/crash bar in situ... Held on by 4 8mm hex screws.

Once out, you can give it a proper clean and fish out the washer in the process.

As DG says, best solution is to remove the bumper (4 screws and 5 clips from memory, plus the electrical plug near the horn) - allow 15-20 mins for this.

Remove the washer pump(s) from washer bottle and unclip hoses from washer bottle.  2 mins.

Then remove the actual bumper (the bit earlier is technically a bumper cover), 4 small bolts. You may need to unplug the level sensor as you withdrawn the bumper/washer bottle. 2 mins

Dettach washer bottle from bumper (2 screws from memory), remove level sensor, and thoughly flush and clean the washer bottle.  Brilliant time to full clean the gromets.


On reassembly, sometimes it can be a bit of an arse getting all 4 bolts back holding the bumper to the chassis rails, and can take a bit of faffing.  Allow plenty of time for this bit.


Also, while the bumper is off, if you dont need the car for a day or 2, its an ideal time to clean and spray the bumper if its rusted a bit.
