Fitted a new (remanufactured) ABS Pump to my daughters Corsa. Giving the old one a few resonating taps didn't free it up unfortunately. Flushed the brake fluid on it for the second time in a week and immediately noticed how much better the bleed nipple flow on the rear brakes is. Ten years of the original brake fluid must have well gummed up the brake lines and pump. A nice easy job actually, five minutes to change the pump, after the fifteen minutes you've spent getting the battery and gubbins out of the way to access it. I refitted the original electrical part so no programming was required.  :y
Road tested and all good now.  :y

Fitted new front anti roll bar bushes to the Mazda. Bushes are cheap as chips but a bugger to fit as you have to drop the front subframe to get a spanner anywhere near the mounting bolts.

Such a relief to finally get rid of the low level knocking noises (at 4th attempt)
1st - replaced leaking fluid filled engine mount - cured engine vibration but knocking continued
2nd - replaced drop links. Nothing wrong with the old ones :-(
3rd - paid to have new strut mounts fitted. Mechanic showed me the remains of the old ones but the knocking continued  >:(

Just need to fix the clip on the sunvisor now because the rattle is getting REALLY IRRITATING  :o

I told them not to bother, they let me chose the body shop and have not questioned or quibbled anything (her insurance, NFU, are handling the lot and admitted liability within 24 hours). Not looking (or need) to exploit the claim  :y

Oh dear.  I don't think a mirror is massively cheaper than a headlight, depending on car spec ;D

Subaru washed & polished all tucked away in the garage before the rain started.

Mine is gleaming....

...with a nice shade of sahara sand, pooled into spots by the light rain.

.

You can't wash it with tennis elbow etc. so that's a fair excuse.
