Had a new windscreen on the Merc

Now to work out how to change, and where to get a replacement window motor for the Golf

Door card basically falls off and the motor is just there.

Three torx screws and a plug and that falls off too.

Don’t ignore the wiring at the hinge as that's more likely than the motor  :y

Loosened up the engine a bit on the worlds fastest car.  Still flat as a witch's tit though.

First long day in the car since buying it, 295 miles total, 48.5mpg (measured properly, the car thought it was doing 51  ;D).

Overall I'm very happy with that from a 3.0 6-pot. As it was on work's time I stuck broadly to the speed limits and there was the usual M6 start-stop traffic. I'm sure if you wanted to, 50+ would be easily achieved, but I CBA with the kind of driving that would require.

I'm told on the Jag forums that mine can easily break 50mpg but as you point out, life is way too short ;D

Took the ridiculous space  saver spare wheel off the Range Rover & replaced it with a matching alloy, it was fitted with an anti theft plate as according to the service history that came with it the alloy was stolen about six years ago, the theft plate is a good bit of kit makes access impossible from underneath but what a weight !

Scuff it up and glass over it? Speed tape would also do the job, and be less messy ;)
