Ordered the part. Too late for them to get it by tomorrow, so need to pick it up on Wed.

HBV decided to give up this morning on way to Ashford, bringing up low colant warning.

Clearly see the tell tale staining and marks so replacement ordered along with 5ltrs of Dexcool. Its actually cheaper getting it delivered than wasting time collection so thats my Wednesday afternoon job.

Cant complain as HBV was replaced in 2016 so beyond expectations for a £20 part

Put the Corsa back together in preparation for the apprentices 17th birthday on Thursday.

New front discs and pads, top mounts, wishbones, ARB bushes, a CV boot, front shocks, rear wheel cylinders, rear flexi hoses and a dam good service.

Drives really well  :y

Met up with a few other old Vauxhalls at Sywell at the weekend

Under cloudy skies with enough brighter spells to cause some sunburn.

Shouldnt the apprentice be doing all that?

A bit of the usual, " ..if only I had room..." and "what a lovely car, I wish mine looked like that" sort of comments, but no offers. Not that I was expecting any.  Classic car auction site next, I need to get on with the next one quite soon.  After the smooth drive I enjoyed on the way home with suitable 2000s era music on the CD player and the climate set to 20deg, it will be a reluctant sale.

Replaced the hbv this afternoon after spending the past 2 days looking at a low coolant message and putting gallons of water through car to get to and from work.

Not surprising it was leaking as when I removed it the entire bottom section with the right hand single pipe outlet just fell away from the rest of the unit, odd what caused that as it was last replaced in 2016 some 100k ago ...well Ive had my money from it  ;D
