I get similar when MIG welding. I suspect my auto darkening helmet isnt working properly, which doesnt help.
I dont weld often enough to remember to try and fix whatever the problem is.  ::)

Acquired 2 freebie logo puddle lights, so fitted them. ………

So you have pretty little Jaguar logo lights illuminating the kerb when you exit the car now then.  :y
Finally, I took a photo, just for you!
…………

 :y
Looks a decent, clear projection.  :y  I looked up the price of my factory fit lights and the price is err….. scary.  :o

The usual ones I buy are about a fiver a pair, but tend to burn through the mask after a couple of years.  These ones were freebies from that nice Mr Bezos, so no idea on price, be interesting to see if they last better.

MrsGK has decided to acquire a muscular 20-something year old Japanese chap who bizarrely goes by the name Hank and is proud of his Bighorn.

Luckily for me, Hank is an Isuzu, that we would call a Trooper.

Unhappily for me the rear wheel arch was made of rust and hope. Oh, and repair panels don't exist. Luckily guru Addy, also of this parish, has imbued me with the skills to use the hot glue gun and make it back into something car shaped. Not the prettiest welding that the world's ever seen, because I'm not the prettiest welder.

But now it's solid, safe, and even the pajnt match has turned out very well indeed.

MrsGK did the filling and painting, naturally.

Now that's done it's time to pick the next hideous car to try to work on...!

Prepped the galaxy for next week's road trip to Paris. Nothing particularly strenuous. Fluids and tyres checked, hard wired a phone charge cradle (I can't abide dangling wires in my cars), UK stickers and fitted my knock-off Thule roof bars and actual Thule roof box.

Finally dug around in the garage for all the assorted sh!te you're expected to carry in order to avoid the Gendarmes giving you a ticket for being foreign. ::)

And from some reports, a lot of the main routes into Paris now resemble farm yards
