Im now putting this back up for sale as a project for some one as it has an intermittent misfire and the exhaust is blowing just behind the flexi pipe part. It has got an oil leak and does use water aswell so possible head gasket. Also the air bag light is still on i borrowed some cloth seats to get it through the mot but had to place the leather back in soon after so the light is back on as i think it has the wrong pre pensioners. It will come with all the extras i got with it i.e the powder coated dog guard and some other bits and bobs. Please see below link for all the other bits. The car does run and driver and still has MOT till Jan. Im looking for £275 but i need a quick sale to get it off the drive. If not i would break and then scrap the rest

Omega General Help / Coolant temperature sensor
« on: 02 March 2015, 18:51:34 »
Good Evening All, I have bought a few bits from GSF car parts over the weekend and got the delivered today. I ordered 929SA0030 and apparently it is the coolant temperature sensor, ive had a look at the pictures at the back of the head on here and it looks like i have only got the brass coloured bit for the dash sensor but nothing else was on there i also found a spade connecter hanging around that area as well so i assumed this part that i ordered would bridge the gap and allow me to get a temperature reading but what they have sent be looks like the actully sensor that screws into the head. Should there be another bit that goes onto the brass coloured sensor?

Omega General Help / 2l lpg intermitant misfire
« on: 17 February 2015, 15:41:53 »
Good afternoon all over the last couple of weeks some times after the car has been left standing over night or while im at work it has a misfire. It seems to clear when the engine is warm and it does use a bit of water but there is a small patch of water under the car if left for a few days so i dont know if its connected. No codes are present at all even when it misfires. Also another thing i have noticed is that there is a fair bit of pressure when opening the header tank even after not being used for a couple of days. No signs of mayo on the dipstick or any oil in the water. Any ideas what it could be?

Omega General Help / alternator removal on a 2 facelift
« on: 31 December 2014, 14:52:53 »
Good afternoon all I've just bought my car and I left it for a few days without starting it and went to start it and it wouldn't fire. So I jumped started and it run fine but I did notice before that when everything was on ie heaters lights and everything else the battery light would come on albeit dim my next door neighbour has put a meter on it and thinks it might be the alternator lucky enough there is a guy that repairs them that live a couple miles down the road but I think he only accepts them once they have been taken out is it a big job to get it out and there is also all the lpg stuff under the bonnet

Good afternoon all, could I trouble you with a problem on my mums car no one can seem to diagnose and sort out the problem. I done the self test on the dash board and it came up as er0608 that is saying the speed sensor so I done a bit of reading and took some advice to get it change. So she booked it in to the garage she uses and after having it for a day the phone and said they hadn't changed it as they don't think that's the problem so they said they took it out cleaned it and put it back. She drove it away from the garage and 2 minutes down the road it done the same thing. It's been losing power and cutting out so she phoned the garage back and booked it back in for the next day but after being there the whole day they phoned to say I was another problem and supplied her with the code e00001 and gave her the number to an auto electrician and said to contact them. Any one got any ideas. Thanks in advance Rikki
