4x new tyres. 2x new coil packs, 6x new spark plugs, full service, diagnostic test, a few other little bits. mot. car driving like new and hopefully will for another couple of years. Garage very good and quality parts used and clearly their labour and plus vat. even so I found it to be very expensive this year. 1134. ouch. twice the value of the car but on the other hand I know exactly how my car has been very well cared for and thats still cheaper than buying a new car. just wondered what experts on here might think.

Admittedly it's more than I'd have paid,however as you say you now know it's sorted and in all probability cheaper than buying an unknown quantity.Labour rates I would imagine to be on the silly side of stupid where you are.Depends on brand/quality of tyres as to how much of the bill was swallowed up by those alone,so could be quite a reasonable sum when all taken into consideration.
