The switch you've pictured is for Traffic Master,a service that I seem to remember seeing on here is no longer available? But if it still is I believe it was a subscription type of service. My F/L 3.0 Elite has this fitted[I've never tried to use it]instead of[I think]the built in satnav that others are fitted with.

Last bike I had-purchased as a restoration project to tinker with-got it circa 1970 for £8 was a 1954 Ariel 600 sidevalve single.Magneto ignition made night riding on poorly/unlit country lanes "interesting" to say the least!Rebore cost me £1 and then £15 to have a piston made to fit it!!Kicking it up was a mare,I've never weighed more than 10st 2lb in my life,so not much leeway for error in timing letting go the valve lifter!Never seen another one before or since, must say something for my taste in bikes!

General Car Chat / Re: New 80mph speed limit.
« on: 14 June 2013, 18:49:54 »
70mph limit introduced as a result of the AC Cobra being tested on M1 if I recall correctly.Personally I have long maintained that speed does not kill,it's the mis-use of speed that does the damage.Sadly I think no matter what the limit is set at you'll still get the dumbo doing 50mph in the middle lane for the next 200 miles!

As above, any improvement however small can surely only be a good thing.Hopefully the improvements will continue and become bigger in scale.Get well soon Paul.

Sounds like mine[although the heaters work properly on mine]but only last week it returned 34.6mpg on a 450 mile round trip,so if it's using more fuel than it should what would I be getting by changing the 'stat?
