I did this job using the guide. Getting the rods back in can be fiddly and they must be correctly positioned. Make sure you take plenty of photos as you go to help with reassembly. It takes time and patience.

Some days ago I was about swapping it too, but fortunately didn't need to  change as there was no problem with locking motor but lock structure was heavily corroded so much that motor couldn't drive it. Cleaned, oiled, rust removed and voila motor worked at once perfectly!  :) Pay attention to rust, too!  ;)

Awkward part is releasing the electrical connector ;)
Agreed. Your pic in reply 3 shows the connector well. I find getting a hand in the gap in the door frame, then pressing the  release ears together, then pulling the switch away from the motor unit, is difficult. I have done it, collecting several nasty grazes in the process. I did one door with the latch still attached to the door frame, and did the second one with the latch unit loose from the door. Both methods were difficult!

Are there any tricks doing this job?

Putting it back is easy, it simply plugs in.

I had problems untill I released the  electric cable which was clipped at the base of the door.Made the motor more accessable.

Thank you gentlemen. Now I know what to do. Disconnect cable attachment, release latch from door, pull it up to reveal cable, cut cable. Put bullet connectors on cable ends colour coded for reassembly. Disconnect motor from connector. Repair motor. Rejoin cable. Replace motor and plug in connector.

Because unplugging is difficult. Cutting is easy. Then I can unplug on the bench. Repairing the cable is easy. Plugging cable back in is easy.

This is not the way to go about it.. it is hard but it does unplug. there are two tabs to move on the plug.
You can bend one right back then push the other back while pulling on connector  :y
