Where to start tips.
« on: 06 August 2011, 00:29:38 »

Hi guys
How's you all doin?
So if and when the new Mig arrives home, I was wondering what/where would be a good place to start making her looking better?
By the way in case you missed my earlier post 2day it's a 3.2 2002 Automatic V6 218hp Sport Design
Do I make the bodywork spotless?
Do I lower the suspension, add new alloys?
Do I add any modifications to the engine? (because I don't want a BMW 523i Manual up my ass then fly around me while I'm tonnin it)

What would make it a little scary in the speed department?
Can I hide/get some extra "kick ass" in there?

And out of interest....what did you guys do first when you got your Omega's home?  :)

Regards
Anthony

Personally when i bought mines gave it a long full valet, so you feel that lil better and cleaner. To make it look better, you can always consider prodrive bumpers/ irmscher kit although these are NOW quite hard to get hold of!
As for the speed department there are OOF'ers here with subtle mods from cat-back exhaust/tubular manifolds to superchargers it all depends on your budget.  :y :y

First job for me (on any car) is normally a full service, including cam belt kit, water pump and brake fluid change

Automatic cars don't have a flywheel. ;)

No point at all in buggering about with appearance until you have insured the life of the car as best you can. Cam belt failure or a seized engine due to poor oil changes will make your go faster upgrades look a bit silly with the car on a low loader disappearing off to the scrappy.

Then LPG It to keep costs down.

THEN it's time to play silly buggers.  ;)  ::)  :-X

I always go for doing a full service (new plugs, air filter, fuel filter, oil & filter change).

While you've got the air box open remove the plastic baffle tube from the lid as it retricts air flow a little.

Not much you can do on a 3.2 auto to make it go faster without spending a fair bit of money.  IMO the autobox is not a good match to the engine - I find my auto one very dull compared to the manual one.  So conversion to manual is cheapest way to get it to go like it should!

Hey,
I would suggest you not to hurry. At first just sit in and drive and after some month if really like the car you've bought you'll see your own individual style car in that you paid for. Don't hurry!
