See Chopsdad's saga reference his wife's Zafira. He's having a right old palaver with his local Vx dealer over his.  :(

I agree, write up one last oil post, include everything, and we'll FAQ it.

I'm priming Golfbuddy to do the same for caravans, but don't tell him  :-X  (should be safe, he never comes in to this section ;D)

Cooeee.  :P :P :P

I don't think you would need a brake switch. Mine didn't and I haven't seen any on here that did.  :y

Thanks Jason, i'll look into it.

Is it a tricky job to undertake?

Oh and while I think, there is no radio code.... presumably will have to go to Vauxhall to get the original code?

Thanks again guys

Phill

Actually, you may be in luck there. Have a look at this, http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1199824487/3#3. Apparently, you can get the code for free.  :o :o :o :y

A real tech 2 will do anything.

The cheap tech2's from ebay, used with a laptop, SHOULD also do this, but nothing ever guarantee'd with those ;)

I knew they were good but I never knew they were that good.  :o :o :o

Unless, that is, you were exaggerating just a little bit.  ::)

Reviving an old favourite here:

I downloaded the 2.2 video this morning but it has the forum logo and title across it.  :(
Is there a copy available without the wording?
Will gladly contribute towards the forum  :y

Most people on here would recommend the 2.6 and CDX spec is preferable. Mileage still seems suspiciously low for both cars though. Has it got a dealer stamped book that could be investigated? I had my cambelt kit done along with water pump and it was around £200 if I remember correctly.

Having said all of the above, if the mileage checks out and the car is within your budget you will have a lovely example of a great car.  :y

Cambelt should be changed at 40,000 miles or 4 years whichever comes sooner. So, this one is due a change. A great low mileage example though. Does seem a little pricey for a CD spec. Might be some room for manoeuvre on the price and you will have to get the cambelt and tensioners changed.  :y

Well Ive removed cam cover, cleaned breathers and drained all the oil from the pots using an old syringe & needle had in the medical cabinet. Dried out the plugs and leads (sprayed with wd40). Cleaned all mating surfaces, fitted new gasket and refitted.

Removed cam sensor & found full of oil/water, so replaced with spare, cleaned out multi plug and sprayed with wd40, refitted.

Checked timing as per Marks instructions and set up to tdc and took some photos, however Im not sure on how to attach these. I took a couple of the timing marks on the cogs and on the bottom wheel. If anyone can tell me how to attache the photos I will.

Have a look at this link. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152786884

You will need to upload them to Photobucket.com or some such hosting site. At it says in the link. Click 'Quote' on a post with some pictures and you will see what has been done.  :y

Are the bushes for the rear door check straps the same as the front doors?

If so is fitting as easy as for the fronts?

One of my rear doors is getting rather noisy when opening and closing and I would like to sort asap.

Thanks in advance.

Martin  :)
Are the check strap bolts in the door tight? Mine got a bit noisy on opening & closing cos the check strap had become very loose.

Thanks Andy, I never thought of that. I'll go and have a look.  :y

Thanks for the info as well Barry.  :y
