Will this fit my 3.2 ok, with the possibility of retaining the old backplate the only complication ?
Tia.

Yep. I always remember it as, any kit will do, just swap the backplate if it's a different one out of the three variants. Some very old V6's had an extra idler that was omitted after a while and the 2.6 and 3.2 kits have an idler rather than a tensioner but either way it doesn't matter.
-
Buy it,at that price. Just use your backplate. :y Looks like a later kit only one tensioner pulley.

That's the starting price, it's an auction, that's how eBay works.

He could, but he wouldn't get it.

We shall see. I might have a bid at the last minute, or forget about it until half hour after the auction ends. :D

Buying TWO of these:-
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Timing-belt-Kit-Fits-Vauxhall-Vectra-Calibra-Cavalier-2-5-Omega-2-5-2-6-3-0/222619968296?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
gives the right number of pulleys for a reasonable price; they were £20 each kit when I bought mine 2 years ago!
Ron.

That looks interesting, thanks Ron. :y

They lack the lower idler so budget for buying that separately :y

Upon opening the link I found it was AC Delco. May well be perfectly good quality but I have only ever used Gates or Contitech in the past, so I think I will stick with what I know. :y

Daft brush...
AC Delco is a GM brand ::)

So are a lot of things that I wouldnt touch with a barge pole. ;D
In fact Omegas are one of the few GM products that I would touch with a barge pole. :D
-
Put it another way, if you buy any Omega bits from the States, then they'll be arriving in an AC Delco box ;D

Same bearings and rollers as Gates and Contitech (SKF), probably the same belt to with different writing on.
I know this as I have one in the garage! :y
-
Ok fair enough. If I dont win the Gates one, I will buy two of those ones. :y
