right i have sorted out the head unit(at last!) but now the multichanger wont work!!! the error code is no 2 ,so i keep reseting it and it looks like disc 12 isnt gonig back in properly to eject,although there are no discs in it(?) i have tried the must eject button located on the side of the unit but again to no avail,so i now have a changer unit which i cant get the magazine out of....any ideas??? short of bowling it down the high street.....

right having taken the original philips head unit out (pre facelift with 6 disc changer)im left with 3 block connectors,my new jvc connects on the two bottom blocks,which leaves the 3rd dangling about,now presumably no3 connector controls the  multi changer,and the speed sensitive volume??? i need to connect a new 12disc changer up to the new head unit so ipresumably need to thread the cable all through the car!! from the changer,unless i can somehow use the 'spare' block connector??
any ideas,or does anyone want to thread the cable for me?or give me an idea of were it can/will go..

Omega General Help / heater matrix/rad flush

mine keeps running hot,hot ,hot so i have decided that before i spend any hard earned on it to try the above,as i read from previous posts that if the heater matrix is slightly blocked this can cause an slight overheating prob,so whats the best way to go about a rad/ heater  matrix flush then chaps???
nice easy one or another total bas%$£d job???

Omega General Help / aircon woes...

hopefully someone can help???
today the aircon was regassed,fine no problem and it seemingly works aswell!!
but unfortunately the aircon fans do not come on at all,hence a very hot(to touch) pipe,now i have put a wire straight from the batt to the switch(2 pin) on the fans and still nothing,it just seem to pull the relay in thats all,so does anyone have any idea on what i can do to remedy this non working fan business,wiring diagram what fuses etc please???

Omega General Help / coolant loss????

evening chaps,little bit of advice please...this afternoon while taking the family out,the displays chirps up a coolant low message..upon getting home it was indeed low,so i 50/50 and filled it up again,approx 1-pint(ish).now this is all ok ,just that approx 4 weeks ago ,coolant low message was on the display ,and again i filled it up, yep you guessed it approx a pint,so in about 4/5 weeks and roughly 650 750 miles it has used 2 pints of coolant,now, the acid question is this fairly normal(cough!) or should i be starting to worry about something?no gunk in the header tank,no gunge around the oild filler cap etc,and as far as im aware no leaking hoses etc.anyone got a rough idea of what it could be?
oh yes i havent done a coolant flush yet,could that be a prob?

with refrence to the boys comments and by the state of my knuckles..'the clips are very good. They are extremely quick during build, and apply a consistent, even clamping pressure... '
 
But without right tools, a right barsteward...

I have seen a set of mini molegrips approx 4 inches long,same as regular size molegrips but just smaller,now does anyone know were to get these from??? cant for the life of me remember were i have seen them,any one got any ideas??? i got a feeling there were/are american made???
clip solution hopefully...

lovely how to matey,but im buggered if i can find the release bar,to release the main panel? cant find anything that even remotely looked like it,got the 3 screws from the ashtray area out so the bottom part is loose but the top part :-/ :-/give me a clue please....anyone

hurrah,i done the hbv this morn, £29 all in from vaux,i did moan a bit to the lady serving,asking for trade club price,she said 'i have done it trade for you' i told her re the boy,'its not a trade item is it?',flustered she said nothing so she signed me up for a trade club card there and then!!!!! amazed,no checks on me or anything,just wanted the name of my company....
still the hbv,yes its fiddly,christ those clips........,still its done along with coolant flush and change,quite a productive morning,fingers crossed this will cure my coolant loss  problem..,if not i got a trade card to buy me oil cooler/coolant bridge.....

hi gang,nice easy one,going to change my hbv.. and was wondering is it a standard of the shelf part,ie from most dealers???or does it have to be specially ordered in for me??also shall i order it by the part no that is on the old one,as i have read there are 3(?) different types,
any help much appreciated (or anyone with a T.C that could help??)

right lads on the passenger side ,the visor flap when i open it just seems to fall off! so i have undone the screws that secure it to the roof of the car,just to see if i can repair it,but it is connected inm the top left,by a thin wire,that i presume is the power source for the light.now i just cannot release this connector(?)thats on the visor to take the whole visor off,is there another way round it? all i can see is this wire and this one connector holding it on,any ideas,or  will i be forced to get the tin snips out.....
