Is this the correct backing plate for my car......
« on: 23 August 2013, 17:28:09 »

Hi guys,

2000 (W reg.) 2.5 V6.

Got my cambelt kit this morning and the backing plate has ''EB'' cast in to it. How do I know if mine should be EB or 01?

I put my registration in to Buypartsby website so they should have sent the correct kit. but just want to check :)

Check the one thats already on it Webs, and you can change everything over to original back plate if necessary ;)

Think eb is correct though - may be wrong though - memory's going ;)

No probs Webs - backing plate is only part of kit that can be reused ;)

As Dbug says, it doesn't really matter, I suspect yours is 01, but just swap the pulley and tensioner on to your original backing plate.

My cambelt kit hasn't turned up yet, and I need it for Newent. Grrrr.
