why wont my stereo go back in?

hi guys as above.  the plug and aerial are lined up correctly but the stereo just wont go in. last centimetre id say.

help pleeease  :)

All I can think of, is the cables are bunching up as your pushing it into place?  :-/

in all seriousness though it was cos i had put the ''cage'' back in and hadn't straightened it out following its removal.  :y

thanks for everyones help on here who helped me get the new heater control panel in. took a while (about hour and half) but half hour of that was trying to get the plugs out of the panel.......... then i realised theres a plastic bit holding it in place. flip it and it pushes the plug out  ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D
