Corsa/Combivan LPG Problem, Anyone Familiar???
« on: 18 July 2009, 23:42:58 »

Evening All

My father in law has a 1.4 Combivan (Corsa Van with a tall roof). I think its a T reg (1999)

It has Dual fuel LPG fitted by Vauxhall at birth.

Does anyone know much about these? Whenever he switches over to LPG and the gas cuts in the engine drops to running on 3 cylinders.

My knowledge of these is to be honest limited to the point of non existence. Any suggestions as to what the likely problem could be would be much appreciated!

Check the individual gas feed pipes to the injectors for leaks/holes

could be an injector issue - ideally, you could do with being able to turn them off in software, one by one, to identify the troublesome one...

It's likely to be a Koltec system, I had similar symptoms which turned out to be clogged LPG filter starving the engine so it wouldnt run smoothly.

New filters are available and pretty cheap, has the Lpg kit ever been serviced?
