Put my mind at rest...
« on: 29 January 2007, 09:44:24 »

Look at the pic below, of my ebay purchase I'm picking up tomorrow.

Pay attention to the drivers side headlight area.

Does this look like it's had a bash??

www.cybersalvagecars.com

I specifically asked if it'd been in a bump and they said no.

I hope this is gonna be ok :(

I would say it looks intact from the piccy looking at the background it kinda blends in but the car carrier rear would'nt sit that low.

And to me I can make out the curvature of the lense but then even that could just be my eyes playing tricks.

Couldn't you get them to email you a frontal piccy for peace of mind :-/

Well, it's all paid for now.. Just a case of picking it up and taking my chance I guess!!

They're not the most helpful sellers, I think they push out a lot of cars, most much more expensive than this one, hence the low price I got it for....

I'll be gutted if it's damaged more than the light or bumper though....

Well surely if you find it is damaged and they have said it isn't you have the right to walk away and also damand a full refund.

Personally I think it looks as if the light maybe playing tricks but until you see it in the flesh its a guessing game.

Does look a nice motor so I hope it goes your way :y

James,

The bumper, bonnet and grill all look good. So nothing really to worry about, looks like the headlight trim has been replaced but thats cheapo fix. Possibly new headlight? Can't make out if its there or not.

Plenty of lights to be had in the scrappy here, there is a 2.0 CD there last week that had its projectors still on.  :y

I just popped down there this afternoon LB66 was after them too. Some bastard made a hash of removing the front bumper, and buggered the projectors clips to secure them to the car rendering the lights worthless.  >:(

All they had to do was remove the nuts to the lights!!

Couldn't they be reshelled as what I did with mine?
