number 1 is that i have a lead from the radio coming into the glove box witha phono lead on the end ?? i think its for aux input but cannot get it to function . any ideas ??

number 2 is maybe related. in the passenger footwell sort of hanging down but tucked away is a crome 2 position switch which seems to have something to do with radio reception  any clues

Sounds like someone's been hacking  .

If you find out where the wires go to it might give some clues. My guess is that someone's tried to botch an Ipod connection into the mobile phone pre-wiring.
