I think it was murder but obviously the judge does not agree with me.

I'm just about as far from being a rabid 'hang em high' Tory/Republican as you can get. However, that just doesn't seem right. :-\

He had to have killed her in a fit of rage. Sentence totally inappropriate/ light - and has been fudged to avoid him suffering unduly rough treatment in a conventional jail.

I ask the question " Why is this case so prominent in public awareness" ? Why do we all know about it ?

It could be because he is a well known athlete ? It could be because it is a terrible crime or whatever ?

Or it could be because he is well known and South Africa permits live courtroom TV. Therefore our media gets a real, instant, and FREE soap opera that can compete with Corrie or Watsenders.

Personally, I really don't care. The same "Free Soap" thing is being attempted with the Shrien Dewani murdered-bride thing, also in South Africa, which I find a bit more interesting. Just a bit  ???
